Announcing the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK® G2 mk2

M Rugged Mobile Technology is pleased to announce the updated release (mk2) the i5 12th generation Intel CPU based TOUGHBOOK® G2 mk2. (The i7 version will be released late 2024) of Panasonic's TOUGHBOOK® FZ-G2, a fully rugged 2-in-1 tablet with optional keyboard that features an innovative modular design and user-removable expansion packs (xPAKs).

Built on the TOUGHBOOK® brand’s legacy of durability and reliability, the TOUGHBOOK® G2 mk2 is designed to address the evolving needs of today’s mobile workforce and help users tackle the toughest jobs and mission-critical applications.

Key Features

Modular Design: The TOUGHBOOK® G2 offers an innovative design with three modular expansion areas, providing users with 84 customization options (no xPAK is an option too). These areas include 3 SSDs (7 top, 4 rear), allowing users to tailor the device to their unique needs. Expanded Functionality: Users can enhance their TOUGHBOOK® G2 with features like an additional serial port, microSD card slot, fingerprint reader, thermal camera, contactless smartcard reader, and quick release SSD. The TOUGHBOOK® G2 mk2 introduces a new 2TB SSD option for added storage capacity.

Performance: The TOUGHBOOK® G2 mk2 is equipped with a powerful 12th generation Intel Core i5-1245U vPro processor, boasting Turbo Boost up to 4.8GHz. It also includes 16-32GB of RAM, USB-C (Thunderbolt4), Wi-Fi 6E, loudspeakers, dual SIM (one being an eSIM), 4G LTE, and 5G (Sub6, C-Band & mmWave) capability.

Display and Connectivity: The latest edition features a brighter laser on the optional barcode reader, privacy cover for the webcam, and three programmable function buttons, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Accessories: The TOUGHBOOK®G2 mk2 comes standard with a digitizer pen featuring right-click and erase functionalities. The optional detachable keyboard includes a handle/kickstand, USB-C and USB-A ports, and three backlight color options.
