M Rugged Mobile Techology is pleased to announce the NEW Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 56 which will be available to ship in May 2026

Built on the success of the acclaimed TOUGHBOOK 54 and the industry-first modular TOUGHBOOK 55, TOUGHBOOK 56 takes rugged computing further with an Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 2 processor designed for AI-enabled tasks. The TOUGHBOOK 56 is the first rugged PC with an 8GB dGPU option to further boost graphics and AI performance. Also available is Intel® Arc Graphics which can improve graphic performance up to 2.2x over prior generations. It boasts Wi-Fi 7 (2.4x faster than prior Wi-Fi 6E) and up to three ethernet ports including a 10 Gbps ethernet option (both industry firsts) for faster imaging and file transfers. The new 5G modem is now flush, has 36% faster upload speeds, and supports all major carriers including AT&T, FirstNet, Verizon, Verizon Frontline, and now, T-Mobile. It is also the first semi rugged PC to feature a 16:10 aspect ratio which accommodates more rows of data than a normal widescreen 16:9 display, as well as the first to offer FIPS encrypted SSD option.

To help preserve customers investments in docks, it is backwards compatible with existing TOUGHBOOK 54 and 55 vehicle docks (except dGPU model), providing over a decade of compatibility. For customers who are looking to upgrade docking, or for new customers, brand new vehicle docks will be available that feature a more durable docking connector, expanded IO, and refreshed technology. In addition, it is compatible with several other TOUGHBOOK 55 accessories and xPAK’s.
